If you’re a Videosync user and need assistance, please email support@videosync.fi. For participants, we have collected a few hints that may come useful in technical issues below.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Videosync livestreams and recordings are viewable with PC / Mac / Linux and all the most common browsers, as well as with iOS and Android devices. HLS is being used for stream delivery, which means that flash is not required.
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Internet Explorer 11 and older, together with Windows 7 do not support HLS livestreaming. In these cases Videosync will force a roll-over to flash video live stream. In some circumstances flash livestreams are not allowed in company internal networks. If you’re using IE / Windows7 combination, and the stream is not visible, please try another browser.
BANDWIDTH REQUIREMENTS
Videosync transcodes the streams in different sizes and bitrates in order to support good viewing experience with various devices and network conditions. The smallest size of the video is 160p -with 200Kbps video and 96kbps audio. As a result, the minimum required Internet connection speed for decent viewing experience is approximately 300Kbps.

FAQ
CAN’T HEAR ANY AUDIO
Please check that your device audio playback controls are not muted. If that doesn’t help, check that the audio control is not muted in the video player – you can see the audio controls by hovering mouse over the video player.
THE AUDIO HAS AN ECHO
The most common reason for the echo is that several browser windows are open playing the same content. Please close one of the browsers to get rid of the echo. If this doesn’t help, try refreshing your browser.
THE AUDIO IS FINE BUT THE VIDEO BUFFERS AND / OR FREEZES
This is typically sympton of network congestion. Especially in the events where there are a large number of simultaneous viewers in a company network, congestion may occur. VPNs may also be configured in a way that is not optimal for livestream viewing. You could try to switch the connection to your mobile instead, it might help in some cases.
MY COMPUTER CRASHES WHEN I TRY TO ACCESS THE EVENT
Try clearing your browser’s cache and restart.
THE PRESENTATION SLIDES ARE NOT CHANGING
Sometimes it may take a while before the next slide change. If the problem persists, do a force refresh to clear your cache memory. This is usually done with following keypad combinations:
Windows: ctrl + F5
Mac: Apple + R or command + R
Linux: F5
